Arabic Calligraphy

For reasons of lack of human resources Culture Vultures is temporarily…quiet, but not for much longer.  One soon-to-come activity that comes under our Fassi parasol of cultural activities is a short intensive course in the art of Arabic calligraphy.

Join C.V. and Abdellah, a master calligrapher fromFezwho dedicates his career and life to the sacred art, in this four part introduction to Arabic script writing.

Presented in the splendid surroundings of traditional Moroccan architecture this short course will lead you through some techniques and methods of Abdellah’s art the same that have been practiced by masters of calligraphy since the writing of the holy K’oran.

Participants will have the chance to discover the skill, input and state of mind needed to master this spiritual pursuit. Practice with traditional materials is a large part of the course.

• Course – 7^th/ 8^th /9^th and 10^th  September 2011.
• Sessions are from 9 am. to 10.30am
• Cost of course is 1000 dh in total.
• To a reserve a place a deposit of 250 dh is required. C.V. accepts Paypal payments.
