LʼAURORE QUARTET and MOURAD BENHAMMOU

Aurore Voilqué- Violon/Vocals, Thomas Ohresser- guitar, Siegried Mandacé- guitar, Basile Mouton – bass, Mourad Benhammou-Drums.

Since 2004, lʼAurore Quartet, composed of two guitars (Thomas Ohresser, Siegried Mandacé), the bass (Basile Moutonet) and a violin ,(Aurore Voilqué) enchanted the public with their swing and energy, but also with the compositions and voice of Aurore Voilqué, a young 32 year old tzigane who practiced in the classical field before taking influences from Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli.  Mourad Benhammou is the invited drummer who for many years has put together events designed to highlight the principles of bebop drumming .  The evenings’ event is bought to you by the French Institute.





First Flamenco Festival – Fez, 2011.

If you are a fan of true hearty live performances then this festival is for you. Presented to you by the Instituto Cervantes is the first flamenco festival in Morocco. Monday the 4th of April hosts a conference titled the Origin and Evolution of Flamenco and the week of performances will commence on the 5th of April, finishing on Saturday the 9th.

 

Do you often wonder what to do with yourself on a week night in Fez? Look no further, zealous guitar repertoires, hot polka dot dresses and heart wrenching lyrics will make you clap and stamp your feet all the way home. All concerts will be held at the Cultural Complex Al Houriya, Ave Palestine. Fez.V.N. and promise to fill seats with buts.  The program is as follows.

argentinos, mexicanos y cubanos.

José Torres Trío ofrece un nuevo concepto musical de flamenco contemporáneo.

Mª José Pérez (cante) con Miguel Molina Martínez a la guitarra, ofreciendo un fraseo muy flamenco y un extraordinario conocimiento de los diferentes estilos.

Juan Antonio Ramírez López (cante) con José Luis Escoz. La voz maravillosa se fusionará con el toque minucioso clásico y delicado.

 

Saturday 9th April 2011 – 19h00:

« Alma de mujer », Lola Pérez

Espectáculo que tiene como hilo argumental el maltrato a las víctimas de la violencia contra la mujer. Cante, baile, guitarras y percusión.
