This Saturday is AId el Mawlid, the celebration of the birth of the Propphet Mohamed. It seems that the imperial city of Meknes is where you will find the action. Aissawa dance and song, Hamadja, Ahaidous and more will gather for the 24 hour celebration. Word on the street is that one will also encounter transe and spiritual rituals that can be somewhat out of the norm. Dont wear black, apparently!
Meknes is where its at for AID el Mawlid
