A single handed, solo exhibit of miniature paintings made by artist art-tickle of Fez, whilst recovering form a sick stint, will be shown only whist paint lasts.
The inspiration was the richly descriptive novel My Name is Red by Orham Pamuk. The plot of the book highlights the lives and work of Sultans’ miniaturists, calligraphers, illustrators and guilders: the setting, Istanbul, 430 years ago.
Stirred to create, and challenged by the process of miniature artistry, this 5 piece series, titled Cluster, came to fruition over an afternoon in the artist’s recuperating bed.
As an ephemeral piece the works are the documentation. To purchase a limited edition print contact Jess at culture.vulture1@rocketmail.com.
